Tranquil suburb in central Brooklyn Park

Shingle Creek runs diagonally through Brookdale Park, contributing to this neighborhood's tranquil feel and outdoor-oriented lifestyle. “Brooklyn Park is sought-after because it's considered a first-ring suburb,” says Richelle Taylor, Realtor with RE/MAX Results. “There’s a lot of diversity and it has several parks, trails and golf courses.” Brookdale Park also shares its name with the greenspace at the heart of this community. Within walking distance for many residents, the park has a dog park, athletic fields and outdoor ice rinks. Nearby, the Shingle Creek Regional Trail offers 8.4 miles of paved routes connecting Brookdale Park to Brooklyn Center, and the local high school's Brooklyn Sports Dome and adjacent athletic fields are also the site of many a Park Center Pirates game. With affordable housing options and an active recreational scene, Brookdale Park is a thriving suburb just 11 miles from downtown Minneapolis.
