Part Buffalo Grove, part Long Grove

There are two distinct home choices in the Prairie Park—Lake County neighborhood, north of the Chicago suburb of Buffalo Grove and just east of Long Grove. Homes on lots as big as 2 acres have a Long Grove address, while homes on smaller lots built closer together have a Buffalo Grove address. “They all feed into Stevenson High School, which is one of the best schools in the area, and that’s the appeal of living in this area,” says Marilyn Merrifield, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty. “The village of Long Grove allows more acreage, whereas with Buffalo Grove, you don’t see homes more than half an acre.”
