Emmerich also offers indoor recreational facilities with two fitness centers on the grounds. Just on the other side of Lake Cook Road from South Buffalo Grove, Buffalo Grove Golf Course’s wooded and marshy terrain provides a challenge for avid golfers.

On Tuesday evenings, Willow Stream Park hosts the annual summer concert series, where visitors can enjoy a different band and food truck each week. This park also offers Movies Under the Stars on Fridays in June and July, and residents bring their own blankets to get comfortable and ready for a movie. At the end of August, Buffalo Grove Days features a parade and concerts over the span of a week. Other festivities include a cornhole tournament and a craft fair.
