Lake Cable residents will find a variety of homes from contemporary lakefront and brick Colonial-influenced homes to New Traditional and extensively renovated midcentury modern homes. “The original lakefront cottage homes here were built in the 1930s and 1940s,” says John Williams, a Realtor with Re/Max Edge Realty and a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio. “If you’re lucky, you might find a few for sale around $350,000. But they will need some work.” John explains that buyers who really want a lake house can find it, but prices really do vary—all the way up to $5,000,000.

Homeowner members enjoy private docks, beaches and marinas. “On the lake, just behind the clubhouse is Goat Island with its iconic lighthouse and a sandbar. People tie up their boats there and go swimming,” explains John Williams, “and they offer live concerts on the sandbar in the summer, which is a lot of fun!”
Right across from the lake is Fisher Park, which residents of Jackson Township – just west of Lake Cable – can visit at no charge. With five ball fields and four soccer fields, Fisher Park is a popular destination for community sports games and tournaments.
