Residential growth since 1960, with new constructions still coming to town
Most of Cary’s residences were constructed after 1960, and nearly half were built in a housing boom between 1980 and 1999. While ranch and split-level homes are ordinary, new builds are still popping up for those who want more contemporary styles. Subdivisions to the east are laid out in classic suburban style with cul-de-sacs, while the west features a more sprawling design that still features neat streetside landscaping. Along the village's southern border are homes plotted near the Fox River. Single-family homes in Cary range from $240,000 to over $480,000, varying by the lot size and square footage. Repta says, “Apart from single-family homes, there’s not a ton of condos in Cary, but there are some townhouse communities.”
