Located in the heart of one of the Triangle’s fastest growing suburbs, Downtown Cary offers its residents access to larger metropolitan areas while maintaining a small-town feel with its own unique identity. “What you’re seeing in all of Cary, but especially areas like downtown, is huge growth,” says Scott Korbin, a broker with Compass Commercial and longtime resident of Cary. “And a lot of that comes down to just how great the location is.” Residents seeking proximity to Raleigh-Durham’s excitement while still feeling tucked away will find a blend of urban and suburban charm in Downtown Cary.

Established and new construction
While more urban than some other Cary neighborhoods, Downtown Cary manages to still capture a cozier, small-town feel—and much of that has to do with the housing that’s available. “You find a nice mix of styles in downtown,” says Korbin. “A lot of established homes mixed in with newer construction, as well.” Prospective homebuyers won’t find a lot of availability, as Cary’s growth has made homes go quickly—but styles predominantly include custom and modern. Townhouses are also available. Homes built over the last ten years range in price from $875,000 to $1.6 million. Older residences often range between $275,000 and $575,000.
