Peaceful neighborhood near industrial area
Backed against Interstate 380 and next door to a large industrial site, Lincolnway Village is a peaceful community established in the 60s and 70s. It is situated in the heart of Cedar Rapids and appeals to people who want a life in the suburbs yet remain close to the city's amenities. Wide streets without sidewalks wind throughout the area, revealing houses set on sizeable setbacks. Lawns are neat, and trees dot the landscape. "People like it here for several reasons and aren't bothered by the industrial section," says Cory Rath, Realtor with Keller Williams Midwest Partners who has sold many homes here. "When you head into this mainly residential area, it feels like you're in the country. People like its accessibility to neighboring communities and Downtown Cedar Rapids. It's also budget-friendly." Railroad tracks run through the area on the western side of I-380. "You can hear the train going through, but it's never been a problem," Rath says.
Lincolnway Village is a quiet residential neighborhood at the southern edge of Cedar Rapids.
