Suburban community with Arizona sunshine

Set 20 miles southeast of Phoenix, Ironwood Vistas is a suburban community in Chandler, Arizona, known for its many neighborhood parks, proximity to local shopping and dining centers and highly rated schools. “There are really good schools here,” says Amy Smale, a Realtor with DeLex Realty who has worked in real estate for over five years. “You see kids outside playing, riding bikes, lots of parks—it's very family-oriented.” Chandler has been growing as a community since the early 20th century, when the area was known as a small farming town; today, the farms and ranches have been mostly replaced with local businesses and new homes, but Chandler’s roots are still remembered during annual events like Ostrich Festival. Residents here enjoy the comforts of suburbia, but nearby access to Highway 101 and Valley Metro buses makes it easy for residents to get around the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. “The neighborhood has a very nice character that first-time homebuyers would appreciate,” says Smale.

Single-family homes inspired by Spanish Revival architecture

The average home price in Ironwood Vistas is about $450,000, more than neighboring North Chandler and less than Central Ridge, where the averages are $400,000 and $520,000, respectively. “In this area, homes go for between $450,000 and $550,000, depending on size,” says Smale. “The lower end of the range would probably get you a three-bedroom with two baths and a two-car garage. The upper end would get you the extra bedroom, possibly a three-car garage,” says Smale. Single-family homes from the late 20th century are common here, most are two-story New Traditional or ranch-style with hints of Spanish Revival architecture; neighborhood streets are sidewalk-lined, and most homes have traditional grass lawns or rock gardens dotted with low-water plantings.
