The halfway point between Tulsa and Oklahoma City
Relaxed rural living gets an all-American flair in Chandler, OK. The historic US Route 66 highway runs through this roadside town, making it a reliable stop for travelers planning to motor west. But for locals, the convenience of having daily essentials, entertainment and secluded acreage in a small town setting makes Chandler more than just a point on a map. “Chandler’s almost a perfect halfway point between Tulsa and Oklahoma City, which makes it great for commuters. But they’ve also kept it where if you’re an elderly person and you just can’t get to those cities, there’s nothing you can’t find here,” says Jamie Barnes Saxon, the owner, chief broker and real estate agent with Oklahoma Country Homes. In addition to selling homes in Chandler for more than two decades, Saxon owns and operates multiple Airbnb locations in the neighborhood.
