Providence Park, a quiet neighborhood
Providence Park is a verdant neighborhood shaded by fat oak trees and adorned with brick houses. In the summer, homeowners host backyard cookouts with their neighbors. In the fall, residents rake leaves and take their children trick-or-treating. In the winter, homeowners cook holiday hams in their renovated kitchens. And in the spring, laughing children buzz around the quiet streets on bikes. Residents can walk to restaurants and grocery stores or take a short drive to shop luxury retail options at SouthPark Mall. Folks also appreciate the convenient commute to Charlotte's Center City. "Providence Park is close to everything, but it's far enough away from the bustle of SouthPark. The area has older homes and classic architecture; there's also lots of shopping and dining," says Realtor Kim Trouten, who sells houses in the neighborhood with Fabulous Charlotte Homes.
Providence Park Ranch homes are very abundant throughout the neighborhood.

Colonial Revival-style homes and more
"Providence Park is a little bit on the outside of SouthPark, which makes it more affordable, but people still have access to amenities like the mall," Trouten says. Homebuyers can purchase a three-bedroom 1950s brick ranch-style house for between $750,000 and $950,000. There are three-bedroom 1980s Cape Cods that sell for around $770,000. Assessors value four-bedroom 1980s Colonial Revival-style houses at between $980,000 and $1.2 million. Five-bedroom houses of the same style sell for between $1.1 million and $1.5 million. "Homebuyers often renovate the homes. The value of the land and the location is such that you can spend money updating the houses. Not all the value is tied up in the houses," Trouten says.
Driving down the streets you'll find many Providence Park Colonial homes.
Providence Park Mansion homes can be found on every other street.
