Older community sees new growth
Bonny Oaks-Highway 58 is a suburban community with comparatively lower-priced homes. The neighborhood was developed following the 58’s relocation to accommodate the Chickamauga Dam project. Most homes here were built in the mid-20th century, and the community has experienced little change since then. Today, Bonny Oaks-Highway 58 still has its older home styles, but some new homes are currently being built and sold as well. “This area is experiencing a resurgence because of its proximity to jobs and downtown,” says Daniel McKee, a Realtor with Keller Williams Greater Chattanooga Realty, who's been selling homes in the area for over two years. “You can really get anywhere in town from here.”

Mid-20th-century and new craftsman homes
Homes here are congregated on suburban gridded streets with cul-de-sacs. Bonny Oaks-Highway 58 features a mix of mid-20th-century styles and new craftsman styles built within the past five years. For vehicle parking, houses have driveways, and some styles include multi-car garages. Homes here don’t stay on the market long and usually sell after just two weeks. Bonny Oaks-Highway 58 homes typically sell for between $250,000 to $500,000. “Because this is an older part of town, the price per square foot here is more feasible,” says McKee.
Bonny Oaks homes are predominantly ranch style with most being also made of brick.
