Older Eastdale homes with natural beauty nearby
Dense patches of trees, sidewalk-free streets and homes from the 1970s and earlier fill the Eastdale neighborhood. Residents can easily access outdoor destinations, including the Tennessee River and South Chickamauga Creek, and shopping and dining attractions downtown. This neighborhood was made for spending time at home or chatting with neighbors, so most of the excitement happens in nearby areas. The Eastdale Community Center creates a space for locals of all ages to hang out and have some fun within the neighborhood. “It’s a dormant area,” says Sei-Ondra Williams, an experienced real estate agent with the Greater Chattanooga Realty branch of Keller Williams Realty. “It’s also about 6 miles from downtown Chattanooga.”
Easy parking in front of 1970s ranch homes
The streets of Eastdale are full of manufactured, ranch-style and raised ranch homes. Most homes were built in the 1970s or earlier and feature multi-color brick or white vinyl siding. Cars often sit on uncovered, paved driveways, leaving the narrow streets clear. For $100,000, a future homeowner could purchase an older, three-bedroom bungalow needing repairs. A contemporary home with an attached garage and four bedrooms might sell for $300,000. Interested homebuyers and renters can find options in Eastdale. “The homes have been here for a minute, but there’s a developer planning to build more in the future,” says Williams. A community of micro homes—with two bedrooms, small lots and energy-efficient systems—will create more housing options for locals.

September fun in Eastdale and beyond
The Eastdale Community Center hosts the Fall Festival every September. Guests can get their faces painted, compete in family games and try delicacies from local food vendors. To keep the party going, residents visit downtown Chattanooga to experience the September Moon River Music Festival.
No sidewalks, no problem
Bikers share the road with drivers because of the limited sidewalks. Nearby Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport connects residents to major cities like Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA. The closest bus stops run along Glass Street, so most residents rely on their cars to get to work or the store.
Residents get essentials at Dollar General
Dollar General waits along Wilcox Boulevard for residents who need snacks, craft supplies and other essentials. “Eastdale has a local food bank and a Family Dollar that residents can visit,” says Williams. Homes cover almost every inch of Eastdale, so residents go outside the neighborhood to dine out or shop. Those who need to get groceries travel up State Route 58 to shop at Food City. Downtown Chattanooga has boutiques, locally owned restaurants and fun attractions like the Tennessee Aquarium. Hamilton Place mall has restaurants, retail stores and a trampoline park 8 miles away.
Eastdale offers a Family Dollar for residents' everyday needs.

The scenic route winds around the neighborhood and connects to the Tennessee River. Guests who visit to see the sunrise or sunset can snap stunning photos. Eastdale Park sits right next to the Eastdale Community Center. Here, locals can scrimmage on the basketball court or head inside to play pickleball.
