An established community with historic housing
Wyncote is a quiet, woodsy neighborhood of the Cheltenham Township, home to a small population of just over 3,000. Locals are drawn to the community’s proximal location and landscaped parks but mostly to its antiquated homes. “Wyncote has a beautiful, old charm to it,” says Realtor Joanna Bellinger of Long & Foster Real Estate. Antiquated Victorians and colonials
Most homes in Wyncote were built in the late 19th to early 20th century. Buyers will find impressive masonry work through the town’s grand Victorians and colonial-style estates, along with old English Tudor homes. Many feature over 6,000 square feet of living space and are located on woodsy, half-acre lots. Buyers can expect to pay anywhere from $700,000 to $1 million for one of these large, historic homes. However, smaller historic homes cost between $400,000 to $600,000. Wyncote has several split-level homes from the mid-to-late 1900s that cost about $350,000 to $450,000. Several streets in Wyncote have sidewalks shaded by towering deciduous trees that also shade the community in orange, red and yellow hues in the fall.
