From Condos to Chicago bungalows
Dunning is primarily a residential area, but it’s almost an even divide among single-family homes, apartments and condos. Most houses are south of Irving Park Road, and condos are along the northwest end towards Wilbur Wright College. Pre-1940s Chicago-style bungalows and Cape Cods make up the bulk of the architecture. Here and there are sprinkles of Georgian bricks and modern new construction. Because houses are closer together, often there are smaller lot spaces, but most homes have a front lawn and backyard with a detached garage. Houses under 1,200 can cost around $200,000 to $350,000. Homes over 1,200 square feet have prices between $330,000 to $600,000. New constructions are over $700,000. There are several condo subdivisions, but the most popular is Glenlake. Prices vary from $195,000 to $320,000.
