With development beginning in the 1960s and continuing into the 2020s, Cimarron Hills boasts an eclectic collection of housing options. Around Cimarron Eastridge Park, homebuyers can find three-bedroom raised ranch-style homes with attached garages and modest lots starting at about $360,000. In the northeastern corner of the neighborhood, the Claremont Ranch subdivision includes four-bedroom new traditional homes built in the early 2000s, with prices ranging from about $435,000 to $485,000. There are also several townhome communities scattered throughout the area, including Eaglecrest Townhomes, where two-bedroom units start at around $225,000.

Convenient transportation options
The Colorado Springs Airport is less than 10 miles south of Cimarron Hills, making it easier for residents to travel long distances. Route 24 of the Mountain Metropolitan Transit Bus also makes several stops in the neighborhood along Galley Road.

Cimarron Hills is located along Powers Boulevard, otherwise known as the Powers Corridor due to its array of big-box stores and restaurants. “That’s a huge draw for the area, anything you could imagine is available and is just minutes away,” says Leif Jacobsen, a Realtor with Exp Realty who has been selling homes in the area for over 4 years. Locals can pick up essentials at Walmart or indulge in all-day breakfast at Gunther Toody’s, an old-fashioned diner complete with vinyl booths and checkered floors. Outside of this commercial hub, a collection of locally-owned restaurants is scattered throughout the neighborhood. The Sourdough Boulangerie sells sourdough pizzas and fresh bread, which is also used to make specialty sandwiches at the Grinder Sandwich Co. Locals can enjoy a craft beverage at Father and Sons Tap Room and Brewery and shop for groceries at the neighborhood’s King Soopers Marketplace.

Public golf courses and community green spaces
There are two public golf courses in Cimarron Hills: the Cherokee Ridge Golf Course and the World Golf and Sand Creek Golf Course. Both feature a nine-hole golf course and Cherokee Ridge offers private golf lessons for all ages. The community also gathers at Cimarron Eastridge Park, which has two ballfields, a basketball court, horseshoe pits and a playground for kids to explore. The space also includes a fenced-in dog park where pooches can play off-leash.
