A compact Cleveland community with Puerto Rican influences
Small in size yet abundant in community, Clark-Fulton is Cleveland's most densely populated neighborhood. Much of the area’s vibrancy is accredited to its prominent Puerto Rican population, influencing local art, eateries and green spaces. The city’s annual Puerto Rican Parade even ends at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Clark-Fulton. “It’s slowly becoming a trendy neighborhood, like Ohio City or Detroit-Shoreway,” says Monica Rivera Wilson, a Realtor with Platinum Real Estate who has sold several homes in the area. “The location is a huge selling point. It’s close to the freeway and less than 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland.”

20th century homes on 5,000 square foot lots
Clark-Fulton’s tree-lined streets are filled with early 20th-century homes on 5,000-square-foot lots.
Worker’s cottages, Four Squares and Craftsman-style bungalows are the most common house styles in the area. While single-family homes are the most common finds, there are also ample multifamily properties including duplexes and apartments.
“There’s a lot of investment properties in this area,” Wilson says. “You can get a house that’s already been renovated or buy one to fix yourself.”
Most people utilize street parking as there isn’t much space for garages, although a selection of homes offer off street parking. Homes in Clark-Fulton typically cost between $70,000 and $150,000 for a fixer upper, and upwards of $200,000 for a move in ready option. These prices are on pat with Cleveland home’s average $150,000 selling price.

Las Villas Deli & Pastries is a casual, Puerto Rican spot known for its traditional flan and sandwiches, like the tripleta piled high with steak, pork shoulder and ham. Since the 1920s, Johnny’s Bar has been a Cleveland go-to for a swanky setting and North Italian fare, including veal parmesan served over marinara-covered linguini.
