Lakefront downtown area with a small-town atmosphere
As the central business district for a popular resort city, Downtown Coeur d’Alene could be seen as a bustling commercial area. But to those who know it best, it’s a charming city center. “I was born and raised here. I worked for a newspaper chain and went all over the country and finally just thought, ‘There’s nothing even close to Coeur d’Alene,’” says Tom Fisher, a lifelong resident and luxury real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty. “You can walk down the street, and people will say hi to you whether they know you or not.” Brick buildings along the main avenues blend with high-rise condos, creating an environment that simultaneously feels like a small town and a big city.
While tourism plays a significant role, the Coeur d'Alene also has a growing tech industry.
