Community spirit rings strong within the walls of Castlegate
The ornamental towers that lead entry into Castlegate, a residential community located about 8 miles from Texas A&M, signifies an invitation new homebuyers to their new home and a warm welcome to returning residents. The community consists of two subdivisions, Castlegate and Castlegate II, and a strong sense of community rings through both neighborhoods. "I've lived in quite a few different areas, and I will say that Castlegate has definitely been the friendliest," says Raylene Lewis, a Castlegate resident for almost 10 years and Realtor with Century 21 Integra with over 20 years of real estate experience. "Half of the time when I come home, like if it's a trash day, my trash can is already put up because my neighbor will come move it up for me, and if I get there first, I'll put up theirs," Lewis says. Castlegate is a sought-after neighborhood for people throughout Brazos County for its abundance of green spaces and walking trails, in addition to the stock of single-family homes and excellent schools in the College Station Independent School District.
