High-end homes and mountain views from the front door
Upscale homes, highly ranked public schools and a prestigious golf club in a prime location make Pine Creek one of the most desired neighborhoods in Colorado Springs. "My clients who live there love it and don't want to move to any other area," says Alan Arata, a broker with Keller Williams Clients' Choice Realty and a longtime Colorado Springs resident. Large homes sit near the highly regarded Pine Creek Golf Course, an 18-hole public course with views of Pikes Peak. The neighborhood, says Arata, "almost feels secluded while still being a short drive away from everything," like all the shopping and dining near the Interquest Parkway. Pine Creek receives a 1 out of 10 on the CAP Index, which is lower than the U.S. national average of 4.
Custom estates and modern ranch-styles
Houses feature manicured lawns with trees, while sidewalks line the neighborhood's streets. Just outside their doors, Pine Creek residents can turn and see the Front Range Mountains nearly touching the clouds on the horizon. Arata says there are "a number of round-a-bouts to mitigate traffic" on the main roads near the golf course. Home prices range from around $600,000 to more than $1 million for a custom estate with several bedrooms and bathrooms. Houses around the golf course offer postcard-worthy views of the scenic course and the towering Pike's Peak from their decks and patios. The houses in the neighborhood rarely look alike to their neighbors, with unique architectures, and most include multiple stories, usually on lots over 3,000 square feet. "The homes are very nice and modern with an outdoor charm," Arata says.

Spend time on the green at Pine Creek Golf Course
Golf enthusiasts relish playing at Pine Creek Golf Course near the heart of the neighborhood. The premier luxury facility includes an 18-hole championship course with grasslands and winding creeks. Golfers can stop by the clubhouse or restaurant to relax after an afternoon on the green. Children race around private HOA parks and play on separate playgrounds for big kids and toddlers. When summer time rolls around, John Venezia Community Park fills up with kids cooling off on the splash pad, challenging each other on the unique climbing structures and playing on the western-themed playground. Picnic tables under a covered pavilion provide a place to relax out of the sun and enjoy an outdoor lunch.

Parents looking to carpool have an easy route, with all three schools less than 2 miles apart.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data.
