A growing neighborhood south of Columbus
Located 5 miles southeast of downtown Columbus, Berwick is a neighborhood where families can live comfortably in mid-century modern homes. In this suburban neighborhood, residents walk or drive the winding streets and enjoy one of the city’s most popular nature trails nearby. Cyclists in Columbus can ride along the 15 miles of Alum Creek's trail and theater enthusiasts can head to the Jewish Community Center for plays and other activities the large center has to offer. Local restaurants see a mix of residents and college students from Capital University. Interstate 70 runs along the southern part of the neighborhood, making the area an ideal suburban location just outside the city.
Reinforcing it's large Jewish community is the modern orthodox Beth Jacob Synagogue in Berwick.
Known for it's single family homes, Berwick has apartments as well.

The comfort of a 1950s suburb
“The area has grown over the years and people move here for the community and space,” says Terri Barnett, owner of RE/MAX Main Street who has lived and worked in the area for decades. Wide streets are lined by ample grassy yards and homes with cozy brick and stone siding throughout this suburban Columbus neighborhood. Ranch-style mid-century modern homes, cape cods, and craftsmen split-levels ranging from $100,000 to $500,000. Many homes originate from the 1950s, so the big factor in price is how much renovation might be needed. For those not looking for a single-family house but wanting the convenience Berwick’s location has to offer, condos and townhouses are available throughout the area, priced between $270,000 and $380,000.

Hike Alum Creek or join the Gallery Players
Alum Creek Trail runs along the neighborhood's western edge, though Berwick residents do need to cross the busy U.S. Route 33 to reach the expansive green space and its 15-mile trail. Locals often gather at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus, where they can enjoy the pool, dog pond, interior recreation center gym, playground and theater, where a local theater group, the Gallery Players, puts on performances. “It’s a big draw to the area. People go there to hang out, and there’s a lot to do,” says Barnett.

It's great for people who enjoy peaceful neighborhoods with very few bursts of noise. There is a school located in the center of the neighborhood but besides when school decides to let out at 3:30pm there's hardly any noise coming from outside. It's a great neighborhood for walks with your dog(s) and or just walks with your neighbor or yourself.

Everyone keeps to themselves, but if someone needs help they'll help you. As far as gathering goes, there isn't any really any activities that actively bring us all together.

Everyone knows Ohio has the craziest weather. It can be -20 one day and two days later be 85 degrees and sunny. It rains a lot in the spring, but summers are usually nice with occasional showers as a normal summer season would have. Typically fall and summer are the best seasons in Columbus. Winter has gotten harsher lately with climate change with more snowfall a significantly colder days, still nowhere near as bad as a lot of the rest of the state. Fall is beautiful, mild, and colorful.
