“A good place to raise families.”
Glenmeadows is made up of quiet suburban streets lined with sidewalks and 1960s single-family homes. “When people buy homes there, they stay a long time because it’s a good place to raise families,” says Realtor Theresa Barron, who sells houses in the neighborhood with her company, Take A Look Real Estate Brokers. Residents are a short stroll from schools and restaurants and a short drive from a public golf course and other green spaces. The congenial setting is populated not only by families but also by retirees who wish to settle into a convenient suburb on Columbus’ outskirts. The community is 1-½ miles from Interstate 270, also known as Columbus’ outer belt. The roadway connects the suburbs surrounding the city. Thanks to its access to highways and public transportation, the community’s residents can take advantage of all the amenities that Columbus has to offer. The neighborhood is just outside the city limits of Reynoldsburg, and Glenmeadows children benefit from its school system.
East Main Street provides a variety of shopping and dining options

When patrons walk into Delaney’s Diner for breakfast or lunch, they’ll see retro-style red booths and stainless-steel chairs lined up along the bar. Patrons chat with the fry cooks while they work the grill. In just two years, Gyro City Grill has become a hit for its authentic Greek dishes. Sargam Restaurant & Bar is an Indian restaurant serving both vegan and meat-based dishes. There are also several fast-food options. Residents shop for necessities at stores like Dollar Tree and Kroger.

Single-family homes built in the 1960s
“[The houses] are built better than the houses they’re building today because they have hardwood floors. The houses have real brick and real stucco,” says Realtor Art Russo, who sells homes in the neighborhood with his company, Art Russo Realtors. “[The houses] are good-sized, but they’re not huge. Overall, they’re nice houses that are reasonably priced.” Most of the neighborhood’s homes were built in the 1960s. Ranch-style homes sell for between $230,000 and $270,000, and split-level houses sell for between $220,000 and $290,000. Bi-levels are valued for as low as $230,000, and brick Colonial Revival-style homes are valued for as high as $300,000.
