The benefits of living in Golfview Woods might seem self-evident, but this neighborhood is popular for more reasons than just its rolling greens. With two golf courses in the neighborhood and proximity to a pair of major highways, taking advantage of the greater Columbus area is easy. “It’s all about location in this neighborhood because it’s set between 70 and 270," says Aryn White, a Realtor with CRT Realtors who has sold multiple homes in the area. Residents here enjoy lower Columbus taxes while sending their kids to higher-rated Hilliard City Schools. But the real draw to living in Golfview Woods, according to White, is the new park in the area. “Quarry Park just opened in 2021, and it’s really popular with families because it’s a huge metro park with a waterfall,” White says.

Home styles of the 1980s on residential streets
The winding streets of Golfview Woods are lined by neat, verdant lawns and mature oaks that give shade to the sidewalks. Homes sit on quarter-acre lots and, according to White, most are 1,500 to 2,000 square feet, with many including basements. Front lawn shrubbery and fenced-in backyards are typical, and Golfview Woods’ name isn’t just for show; some houses have sweeping views of the greens. With most homes built around the 1980s, typical styles are ranch-style, split-level and bi-level houses with Colonial-inspired flairs like brick facades with black shutters. While an established four-bedroom home starts around $300,000, newer five-bedroom houses can climb above $500,000.

A former quarry has become a scenic park
Just across Dublin Road is one of the Columbus area’s newest parks. What used to be Marble Cliff Quarry, one of the largest limestone quarries in the US, is now the 220-acre Quarry Trails Park. In addition to its sprawling mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking trails, there’s a staircase to the base of a 25-foot waterfall that can be viewed from an observation platform. A trail runs from the parking lot on the west end of the park and leads directly to the waterfall's base, giving locals direct access to the water.
Many Golfview Woods residents spend their weekends on the lake at the Quarry Trails Park nearby.

Players of all abilities can hit the greens on public golf courses
Two public golf courses in the neighborhood cater to serious and casual players alike. Wilson Road Golf Course is the city of Columbus’ only 9-hole executive course, geared towards beginners and those who want a quick game to practice their swing. A creek meanders through some of the fairways, and there are two ponds to admire — and avoid. The waterway also runs through Raymond Memorial Golf Course, which lies adjacent to the Wilson Road Course and boasts a challenging 18 holes. The sloping greens here are also host to summer junior golf programs, and the driving range is popular even with experienced players.
