An apartment-heavy neighborhood
Most Governours Square residents rent apartments. “The majority of tenants are students at Ohio State University,” says Realtor Luyang Yin, who sells property in the neighborhood with Red 1 Realty. Yin lived in the neighborhood about a decade ago when he graduated from Ohio State. “I had a positive experience living there,” Lin says. “It’s a good place for young professionals, new grads and retired people. There aren’t any issues with the college students causing noise.” The neighborhood offers walkable access to Asian markets and restaurants, public bus stops and a greenspace ideal for athletics. Most of the single-family and multi-family residences line the neighborhood’s western and southern borders. In the summertime, the suburban blocks smell of barbecue and fresh-cut grass. Folks may even hear live bands performing at the nearby park.
