Outdoor recreation surrounding Alum Creek
The 99-acre Innis Park borders the eastern corridor of Alum Creek. Complete with athletic fields, picnic shelters, a playground and a walking trail, the park’s largest draw is its public 18-hole Champions Golf Course. From hilly terrain to difficult doglegs, Champions is considered one of Central Ohio’s most challenging public courses. A mile or so north, Pathways Park offers more than a dozen soccer fields hosting youth league games. Walnut Creek itself is home to a portion of Alum Creek and, alongside it, the scenic Alum Creek Trail. From the trailhead at Innis Park, residents can walk or bike up 25 miles along the eastern side of the city.
