Woodland Park has wide streets that are great for walking.
A walkable neighborhood with a historical backdrop
One of the first planned neighborhoods in Columbus, Woodland Park features several historical landmarks and an eclectic mix of homes. It's situated less than a mile from several parks, where residents can explore nature year-round, and within close proximity to downtown Columbus, making for easy access for commuters. Homeowners are often seen out and about, walking throughout the neighborhood, where historical homes serve as a reminder of the community’s history, which dates back to the 1890s.
American Foursquare-style homes and the Park Towers
“The neighborhood is very walkable, with people out and about,” says Emily Manley, an e-Merge Real Estate Realtor who works in new construction and has ample knowledge of the Columbus area. This is thanks to the neat sidewalks that line the residential streets of Woodland Park. A walk through Woodland Park, showcases mostly American Foursqaure-style homes built in the early to mid-1900s, with plenty of open front porches and ornamental detail. Park Towers, the only high-rise in the neighborhood, is home to condos and is considered an architectural landmark of Woodland Park. Potential homebuyers can expect a price range from $200,000 for a two-bedroom home to $500,000 for larger homes that have seen recent renovations.
Many homes in Woodland Park are of the historic four square style.

Those picking up groceries head to the local Kroger, located just over a mile away along Holtzman Avenue, while retail opportunities can be found at Easton Town Center, an 8-mile drive via I-670 East. The shopping center is home to Target, Macy’s and several other recognizable retailers.

The public school of Columbus
Younger students can begin their education journey at Eastgate Elementary School, which has received a C-minus from Niche. Older students can head to Champion Middle School, which has earned a D-plus, before attending East High School. The high school is located in the neighborhood, has earned a C-minus grade from Niche, and is home to an established Health Science program. “There are also a ton of great schools outside of Columbus Public Schools,” shares Manley, in reference to private schools in the area, specifically in Bexley.
