In the mid-1970s, when Interstate 270, also known as Columbus’ Outerbelt, was completed, neighborhoods were springing up around it to accommodate the city’s influx of suburban home seekers. Worthington Green offered these folks a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, condos and apartments. “The biggest draw for this area is you’re going to get great value for what you buy,” says Glenn Moog, Realtor with Keller Williams Capital. Aside from the suburb’s diverse housing stock, the neighborhood’s highly rated public schools are also a draw. “You’re within the highly rated Worthington school system and paying Columbus taxes,” Moog says, noting the neighborhood’s lower taxes.
