Denver access without the price or the hassle
The neighborhood of Adams City, much like Commerce City in general, is a blend of practicality, old-school aesthetics and access to modern amenities. Established in the early 1900s as an agricultural center, the neighborhood has evolved into a mix of residential areas and industrial use. Its location offers residents easy access to major highways, connecting them to downtown Denver and surrounding areas. “It’s the kind of spot where a person can find lower prices without having to be farther than a 10-minute drive from Downtown Denver,” says Mike Diener, Realtor with Local Realty Co. and longtime resident of the area. “For commuters, it’s an ideal spot to come back home to after working in the city.”

Get to and from Denver with ease
The neighborhood is located near Interstate 270, Interstate 76, and U.S. Route 85, those three take commuters through and around Denver providing multiple options for getting to and from work or to different parts of town. Downtown Denver is approximately 7 miles south, reachable in about 15 minutes by car. Public transportation is available through the RTD bus system and the Commerce City–72nd Avenue Station on the N Line commuter rail is right next to the neighborhood. “For people that work in Denver or Boulder, this could be considered a ‘bedroom-community,’” says Diener. “But that’s really part of the appeal – being able to get out of the city and somewhere a little less hectic once the day is done.” The Suncor Energy Refinery and various logistics and manufacturing companies sit in nearby industrial and commercial areas,. Denver International Airport is less than 20 miles away from the neighborhood. The closest hospital, HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge, is about 6 miles away.
The area gets nearly four feet of snow a year and the city maintains an interactive map showing which streets have been cleared.
