A quaint Corinth, Texas suburb overflowing with amenities
Meadow Oaks may be a quaint neighborhood in a small city, but its amenities and community spirit are anything but modest. The leafy suburb is located in Corinth, an 8-square-mile town in north central Texas that’s part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. A few miles west of Lewisville Lake, residents have waterfront parks, a nature preserve and other outdoor recreation opportunities close by. The neighborhood is also surrounded by shopping and dining, and proximity to a major Thorofare allows access to Denton, Lewisville and Dallas. “It’s perfectly situated. You’re close to all the major highways, but you still get that neighborhood feel,” says Teresa Cain, Realtor with TEXEL-Elite Homes of Texas and lifelong Dallas and Plano resident. “And a lot of people want to be near the lake, it’s really beautiful, so that’s another part of the appeal.” That small-town feel is held up by a tight-knit homeowners association, keeping residents engaged with events and maintaining the community with projects and beautification efforts.

Meadow Oaks Park, in the heart of the neighborhood, has a playground, paved walkways and picnic pavilions. Less than 2 miles away, the 116-acre Corinth Community Park features baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court, a shaded playground and trails surrounding the outside. A butterfly garden is also a popular amenity in the sprawling park. The 3-mile Corinth Bike Trail is within walking distance of the community. Lewisville Lake and its surrounding waterfront parks are 4 miles east of Meadow Oaks. The lake is one of the most popular recreational spots for paddleboarding, boating and fishing, especially during summer. The 2,600-acre Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area is 4 miles away from the neighborhood, on the shores of the lake. Willow Grove Park sits on the lake shoreline and offers camping spots, a fishing pier, boat docks, hiking and swimming. Sycamore Bend Park is on the opposite end of Lewisville Lake, 3 miles south of Meadow Oaks, and it provides hiking trails, boat launches, and campsites. It is also a popular swimming spot.

Surrounded by shopping and dining
Most shopping and dining options are along Interstate 35E and Teasley Drive, which make up the southern and eastern edges of Meadow Oaks. Wing Daddy’s Sauce House is a local favorite for smoked wings with flavors like blackberry habanero and zesty Bloody Mary. Genti’s Ristorante Italiano is a family-owned establishment known for its homemade pastas and specialty pies. Angelina's Don Louis Mexican Restaurant is another popular spot for brisket tacos, margaritas and other Tex-Mex cuisine. Albertson’s and ALDI are in the southern corner of the neighborhood for essentials, and The Shops at Highland Village is 8 miles south, which offers department stores and big-box retailers. Denton Town Center is 5 miles north and features a bigger selection of stores and dining chains.

Ramblers and traditional brick homes for under $500,000
Meadow Oaks’ quiet, tree-lined streets are filled with ranch-style homes and two-story traditional brick and stone houses. Most were built in the early 2000s, but several properties are also under construction. Prices range from the low-$300,000s for a 1,600-square-foot three-bedroom to the high-$400,000s for a 2,400-square-foot four-bedroom. “The relative affordability here is better than what you would find in other nearby localities, like Coppell and Flower Mound,” says Realtor Jeannie Seth of Ebby Halliday Realtors, who has served the area for over 20 years. “In this market right now, that’s huge.” Most properties have multi-car garages, spacious, paved driveways and covered back patios. Some of the higher-priced dwellings have in-ground pools. Lot sizes average around 8,000 square feet. “People maintain their properties well,” Seth says. Homes also tend to go fairly quickly here, selling within 26 days on the market, lower than the national average of 44 days.

A homeowner's association and city that celebrate
The Meadow Oaks Homeowners’ Association organizes several events for residents, including an annual National Night with first responders, community cleanups and regular movie nights at Meadow Oaks Park. Corinth also hosts various events, such as an annual Halloween bash, Boots & Brews, a country music festival held in November; Christmas at the Commons; Shamrock and Roll in March; and the Agora Music Fest, a music series held May through July featuring local artists.
Central to Dallas, the airport and hospitals
Interstate 35E runs along Meadow Oaks’ eastern edge, providing access to the rest of the area. Dallas is 34 miles away, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is 19 miles away and Fort Worth is a 38-mile drive. There aren’t any bus stops within the neighborhood, but Denton County Transportation Authority provides a train station in Highland Village, 6 miles south. Medical City Denton is the closest hospital, 3 miles north. The commuter rail system passes through Corinth.
