Climbing the Big Hill
A centerpiece of the neighborhood is Diamond Hill Town Park, a hilly, wide-open green space on a former mine and ski mountain. Locals bring their dogs here for walks on hiking trails, which span 3.8 miles along steep former ski slopes. When people reach the 350-foot peak of the so-called “Big Hill,” they can see the Boston skyline if the skies are clear. Underneath the slopes is the Diamond Hill Reservoir, which provides drinking water to surrounding towns. Ambitious hikers come to Diamond Hill Town Park to pick up the Warner Trail, which runs 30 miles north to Canton, Massachusetts.

Fall is an eventful time in Grant Mills-Diamond Hill. When the leaves change, people come to the town park to get scared at 13th World, an outdoor haunted house that opens every night after the sun sets. A pasture in the northeast corner of the neighborhood called Adam's Farm is a popular place for pumpkin picking, corn mazes, hayrides and eating cider doughnuts.
