Suburban Neighborhood in Dale City, Virginia
Prince William County 22193
Lindendale is a small suburban neighborhood in Woodbridge, located six miles from Interstate 95. Since the neighborhood’s inception in the 1970s, Woodbridge has grown tremendously. Today, residents enjoy their cozy homes in a quiet suburban setting with proximity to parks, schools, retail, and restaurants.
Lindendale’s housing inventory includes both single-family homes and town houses. Homebuyers can expect to find single-family homes priced between $400,000 to $475,000, which could afford an original 1970s home in the neighborhood with three or four bedrooms; styles are typically split-foyers and raised ramblers. Occasionally, a newer 1990s build comes on the market for a much higher price point, in the $600,000s. Town houses were also added in the 1990s, and prices for these hover around $400,000.
The Prince William County Public Schools district serves the area. Most students attend Enterprise Elementary School and Stuart M. Beville Middle School, both of which are located in the neighborhood, before going on to attend C.D. Hylton High School. C.D. Hilton High, rated B+ by Niche, boasts a Center for International Studies and Languages (CISL) program. Under this program, students study world languages, culture, and current global issues in order to prepare them for future post-secondary education and international careers. There is even an active foreign exchange program.
When you live in Lindendale, the 220-acre Andrew Leitch Park is just a few minutes from home. Residents can walk the nature trails, play ball, and take the kids to the playground. The park even has its own waterpark with the largest splash pad in Virginia. If you want to stay out of the sun, head to the Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center to work out on the gym equipment or take a group fitness class. It’s also a convenient place to enroll the little ones in preschool, summer camp, or sports clinics.
Mapledale Plaza shopping center is closest to the neighborhood, and here you can grab groceries at Giant or pick up food from Kabob G, which offers Halal food in a cozy atmosphere, or Ricky’s Chicken, known for their Peruvian chicken. Chains like Domino’s, Subway, and McDonalds are available nearby too. And for some more serious retail therapy, it’s only about a six-mile drive to Potomac Mills, a shopping mall with tons of retail and outlet stores including IKEA and Costco.
Lindendale doesn’t have its own neighborhood civic association, but Dale City as a whole does. The annual Independence Day Parade, organized by the civic association, is the biggest in the area and has been a tradition for over 50 years. According to Mark D. Worrilow, District Director of Fathom Realty, there’s another great asset to the community. “Dale City has one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs in the area, and I don’t just mean just in Prince William County — I mean in all of Northern Virginia,” he says. “The Boys & Girls Club gives a lot of support to the community and offers a lot of good resources to kids of all ages and all socioeconomic strata.” The Boys and Girls Club of America’s facility is located right across the street from the entrance to the Lindendale neighborhood on Dale Boulevard.
With convenience to parks, schools, and all the amenities Woodbridge offers, it’s no wonder homebuyers love living in Lindendale.
