An established neighborhood flying high with growth
The planes at the Dallas Executive Airport aren't the only things in the DFW taking flight. With big plans for development in the area, the sky's the limit for Redbird, an established, conveniently located community just 10 miles south of downtown Dallas. "It's an area in transition," says Christine Rollins, a Triad Realty broker with over 30 years of experience. "They're getting ready to do a lot of new things with the Redbird Mall, so the area is on the cusp of growing and developing into a very modern part of town."

Through the Choose Dallas ISD program, students can apply to attend district schools outside of their designated zone, including magnet schools like the Dallas Environmental Science Academy. "Kids have a lot of options available to them with the Dallas Independent School District," says Realtor Greg Hutchinson with Ebby Halliday, who has over 30 years of experience. "And I do see people taking advantage of those options. A friend of mine found a DISD Montessori program for her daughter when she started school. She later attended one of the district's nationally ranked magnet programs for high school and then did very well in college."
