In the middle of Dallas’s entertainment hub

The energetic Victory Park neighborhood delivers on all fronts when it comes to city living. Packed with apartments and condos among the restaurant- and bar-lined streets and within walking distance of the American Airlines Center, this neighborhood is a great option for anyone looking for proximity to iconic Dallas attractions. “Victory Park is dynamic. It’s truly urban living,” says Johnny Mowad, a Realtor with Ebby Halliday Realtors and a Texas native. “My clients who live there love the upscale dining and shopping there, and there’s always events going on that foster a strong community spirit.”

Sports and music at American Airlines Center

The American Airlines Center is the centerpiece of the Victory Park neighborhood and has earned a reputation of one of the best places for sports and entertainment in Dallas. The center, located on Victory Avenue, is the home of the NBA Dallas Mavericks and NHL Dallas Stars and has hosted hundreds of musicians. “I live close by, and I can wait until 30 minutes before a game, jump on Stub Hub and get a great ticket for next nothing,” Mowad says. Even when there are no games or shows at AAC, there is plenty for locals to do nearby, whether it is checking out the dinosaur exhibit at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science on North Field Street or attending a comedy routine at the House of Blues on North Lamar Street. Directly across from American Airlines Center, Hero by HG is a massive sports bar with six full-service bars, a private lounge, and high-end twist-on bar favorites like chicken tenders and burgers. Victory Park Lane is filled with more local favorite bars and restaurants, like Mesero, which is known for its signature tacos. Right across the street, Billy Can Can styles itself after an old saloon with a modern twist and serves cocktails, steak and seafood. Locals looking to stock their kitchens instead of eating out can stop by Tom Thumb on Live Oak Street or pick up artisan goods at the Dallas Farmers Market on South Hardwood Street, which is open every day of the week.
