Nestled between two major highways just east of downtown, Detroit’s Gratiot Town-Kettering neighborhood offers a combination of convenience and more affordable housing than nearby neighborhoods. Because the neighborhood is 4 miles from downtown Detroit, eXp Realty real estate agent Ernestine Mitchell says the neighborhood’s proximity to downtown is a big draw. “It’s not far from downtown, which is great,” Mitchell says. “I think the price of the homes is another draw. You get a lot of house for the money.”
