A heavily industrial area and home to state and township administrative offices, the small community of Keasbey has beautiful views of the Raritan River. Keasbey is one of 10 small towns within Woodbridge Township. "Woodbridge Township is very desirable for New Yorkers. They are leaving the city for more space and property but are still nearby," says Realtor Eugene "Gene" Higgins with RE/MAX 1st Advantage. Keasbey is roughly 32 miles from downtown Manhattan. Keasbey is home to a few residential streets filled with quaint sized homes and several public township schools.

Home prices in Keasbey tend to range between $375,000 and $600,000. There are also opportunities to live in townhomes, with many going for around $300,000. "The housing inventory is low everywhere and Woodbridge Township is the same. Offers are almost always at asking price or above asking price," Higgins says. Houses Homes in Keasbey are built close together on small lots with lush, quaint front lawns. Some homes also feature chain link fences around the front lawn. Housing styles include single-family ranch-styles, townhomes and newly constructed Colonials.

While Keasbey is very industrial, with a few streets filled with homes, a quick drive to Perth Amboy or Hopelawn offers residents places to eat and shop. Locals can enjoy Dominican dishes at Don Miguelon or a wide selection of Italian entrees at Mama Lena's Restaurant & Pizza. Triple J Diner, which residents call a hidden gem, has breakfast all day long. Here, residents can order Dominican dishes such as yaroa de pollo (loaded french fries) and chiminadas (spicy bean and cheese filling in an empanada-like crust). Locals can stock up on all their weekly groceries at the ShopRite of Perth Amboy when cooking at home. Also around the ShopRite is a bank, laundromat and a nail salon. Roughly 5 miles away is the Menlo Park Mall where locals can shop at popular clothing stores like Nordstrom, Macy's, American Eagle and more. There's also a movie theater, Rainforest Cafe and nearby, a Target.

School choice includes the highly-rated John F. Kennedy Memorial High School
Local children can attend the Woodbridge Township School District, including Lafayette Estates School #25 for elementary education and Iselin Middle School. Lafayette Estates School #25 has an overall B rating from Niche, while Iselin Middle School has an overall A-minus rating. There are three public township high schools, including John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, which is right next to Iselin Middle School. With an overall A rating from Niche, including an A- for academics and diversity, John F. Kennedy Memorial High students can join many extracurricular activities like the Acapella Ensemble and Dance Exchange, where kids share and perform dances of various genres and cultures.

"There are many parks throughout Woodbridge Township, large and small," says Higgins. Keasbey is home to Clinton Avenue Park, a small outdoor space with a playground for kids and basketball hoops. Nearby is Bruce A. Turcotte Memorial Park, where locals can play basketball and baseball or stroll along the paths. Close by at Washington Park, kids can romp around the playground or try out new tricks at the skatepark.
