A quaint Jersey Shore borough, Fair Haven residents can spend their days on the river or at nearby popular beaches.
On some neighborhood streets, residents practically live on the water. On Lewis Lane and the adjoining Timber Court, residents tend to live in colonial and craftsman-style dwellings minutes from the water. The same goes for nearby residences on Battin Road, Grange Road and Fairwaters Lane.
Living on the Rumson peninsula, Fair Haven residents have excellent waterway access thanks to the Navesink River, which feeds into the Jersey Shore. With several yacht clubs and marinas conveniently located on the river, residents can dock boats or take them to the sea.
Neighborhood children can learn the ropes of sailing at River Rats Sailing, a volunteer educational nonprofit.
Spend an evening at the Fair Haven Pier, where you can witness breathtaking sunsets off the water.
River Road, the neighborhood's main thoroughfare, is home to the Fair Haven library, the fire department, Memorial Park, local restaurants and shops, and small shopping centers.
The Fair Haven Public Schools district educates children from pre-K through eighth grade at Viola L. Sickles School and Knollwood School. Fair Haven students attend Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School when entering high school.
Spend your day getting lost in the Fair Haven Fields Natural Area woods or hit up one of the tennis courts. Over at Sportsman Field, shoot some hoops or play foursquare.
Fair Haven residents and neighbors come out loud and proud for the annual Fireman's Fair that marks the end of summer. Usually attracting a couple of thousand people, the fair has carnival rides and games, a beer booth, a dining tent and mini golf.

Wonderful small town with excellent schools and opportunities for sports and recreation. Minutes to the ocean beaches, surrounded by arts, parks, and within an hour train or a boat ride into Manhattan.

with very good public schools, Fair Haven is a very classical wealthy New York Metropolitan suburb. While Fair Haven is a well rounded town, it suffers by the expense of living, poor diversity, and lack of nightlife.
