Array of houses at varying price points
Smaller lots fill the neighborhood, which Guerrette says “creates more of a community feel.” A variety of houses sit on grassy lawns that change with the seasons, going from a vibrant green in the spring to covered in leaves in the fall and dusted with snow in the winter. “I think the mixture of houses is definitely a draw,” Guerrette says. “There’s some new construction among older homes and trees that have been there for decades.” Cape Cods and ranch styles from the early and mid-20th century are a short walk from new traditional homes and Colonial Revivals built in the 1990s and 2000s. Prices can start at $400,000 and can exceed $1.2 million. Pleasant Hill receives a CAP Index Crime Score of one out of 10, compared to the national average of four out of 10.

The curriculum typically consists of site visits and independent work on an accelerated timeframe, lasting only half a semester. All three schools earn an A from Niche.
