Enchanted Village is a spellbinding suburb with interstate access next to an alluring amusement park, with roller coasters and lazy rivers at Wild Waves Theme & Water Park. Enchanted Village is also located along the freeway between Seattle and Tacoma, providing access to either city from the town of Federal Way. "It's right around the corner from freeways and shopping. It's arguably the best location in Federal Way."

New Traditional homes with midcentury features

Enchanted Village has a community-centered design with streets that branch into cul-de-sacs bordered by sidewalks and well-manicured lawns. Two-story houses were built in the 1990s, including New Traditional and elevated ranch-style homes. New Traditionals hover around 2,000 square feet, and properties have hardwood flooring, large windows and inviting backyard lots. Enchanted Village’s premier subdivision for single-family homes is Regency Woods, with monthly HOA fees usually under $25. Prices range from $600,000 to $800,000. Condos are also available in Regency Ridge, a gated community where units cost between $300,000 and $500,000.

Attractions and events at Wild Waves Park

Wild Waves Park is a 70-acre amusement center with four roller coasters, ten water rides and a massive wave pool. The Timberhawk Ride of Prey is the largest wooden roller coaster in Washington state, while the Pacific Plunge is a winding web of water slides. The park also hosts Fright Fest, a Halloween-themed event featuring a haunted house and nighttime rides with actors playing monsters and ghouls. On October weekends during Fright Fest, Booville is a kid-friendly festival with costume contests, entertainment and carnival games. This theme park is a significant draw to the Enchanted Village neighborhood, with roller coasters, a waterpark and activities for the whole family.

Convenient location along the interstate

Enchanted Village is bordered by Interstate 5, which gives residents direct access to nearby cities. Seattle is about 25 miles north on I-5, while Tacoma is roughly 10 miles west. Sound Transit provides public transportation with bus stops along the Enchanted Parkway, a main thoroughfare along the neighborhood’s eastern border. Enchanted Village is also somewhat bikeable, although most residents have cars. The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is about 20 miles north, offering air travel to cities worldwide.

Restaurants at Federal Way Crossings

This neighborhood is well-located to shopping destinations, like Federal Way Crossings, a popular area with department stores and restaurants. One option for dinner is Thai Bistro, which serves Thai food in a hip café with spacious seating and colorful décor. Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse is a country-style steakhouse with a casual atmosphere punctuated by peanut shells, which customers can leave on the floor. Safeway and Grocery Outlet are supermarkets in another shopping center on Meridian Avenue about 2 miles south.

Learning through Seattle Public Schools

Enchanted Village is part of Seattle Public Schools and Federal Way Public Schools. With a B grade from Niche, Rainier View Elementary School is a designated Writer’s Workshop School with a diverse student population. Sequoyah Middle School earns a C-plus, with data-based goals for student well-being and an Associated Student Body organization. Todd Beamer High School receives a B-minus and offers an Air Force JROTC program.

Bike trails and fishing at Five Mile Lake

Directly south of Enchanted Village is the Interurban Trail. This paved bike path stretches nearly 15 miles on a historic railway route through several towns, including Renton, Kent and Tukwila. Five Mile Lake Park is nearby, with a swim beach and fishing pier for catching rainbow trout. The park also features athletic facilities, like tennis courts, a baseball diamond and a basketball court. West Hylebos Wetlands Park is a 120-acre green space with hiking trails and boardwalks through a wetland nature preserve.
