Living by the airport and the river
Just across the Pearl River, minutes from downtown Jackson, the formerly agricultural burg of Pearl now serves as a prime example of a flourishing suburban city. With new developments constantly springing throughout the town, Pearl offers a thoroughly small-town ambiance within a stone's throw of all the employers, shopping and entertainment of bustling Jackson. "Since I've been five years old, I've lived in the city, and I don't care to live anywhere else," says Shannon Ellis, a longtime resident of Pearl and Realtor with Havard Real Estate. "It's safe, it's affordable, and it's just home."
Modern ranches and Cape Cods
Most homes in the city were built in the last 30 years, and new housing developments are constantly springing up around the city. Residential blocks are lined with emerald-green lawns—generally well-manicured—and often backed by forests and waterways. Cape Cods and ranch-style homes are common throughout the city, and there are a few neighborhoods around town that offer more spacious new traditional homes. In general, though, properties in Pearl are a little smaller and more wallet-friendly than in neighboring Flowood. Homebuyers can find a three-bedroom midcentury home for $85,000, while newer, contemporary properties can range between $300,00 and $600,000.

Living in Pearl is a great experience , they have a great school system that offers you many talents and possibilities. The city is represented well by the city officials and the citizens that live there. They also have may food places and shopping centers to choose from. They also have added a trampoline park that is right across from the Tinseltown movie theater.

I love the small town atmosphere of Pearl. Most people are courteous and willing to help others. Pearl also has many accommodations including an outlet mall, many great restaurants, family activities, and etc. the one thing I would like to change in Pearl is the road conditions. Overall Pearl is a great place to live.

I love pearl, very clean. Pleased with safety. Most roads are well kept. Great Law enforcement. Great location. Close to everything you would need weather it be shopping , school, library,Bill paying ,church or getting your nails and hair done. Even though I don't have school age children ,I hear the schools are fantastic.

Classic Mississippi city, not too loud or unsafe. Housing not too overpriced in areas. Good place to raise kids or find work. Overall I love Pearl.
