Master-planned in northwest Fontana

Summit Heights, in northwest Fontana, is a master-planned community of over 300 acres. It has views of the San Gabriel Mountains to the north and is conveniently located between Interstate 15 and state Route 210. "North Fontana is the best of all Fontana," says Carlos Flores, a Realtor with Keller Williams Whittier, who has been in real estate for over a decade. The highly regarded schools are a selling point for many families. Homes are on quiet residential streets, and shopping areas are nearby. The CAP Index crime score is 2 out of 10, compared to the national average of 4.

Summit Heights homes built in the 2000s

Homes were constructed from the early- to mid-2000s. Most have four or five bedrooms and are 1,700 square feet to 3,300 square feet. According to Flores, overall, the Summit Heights homes are newer and bigger than those in other parts of the city. Spanish-inspired elements like terracotta roof tiles and stucco exteriors are common, as are neutral and earth-tone color schemes. But there's enough variety that all the houses don't look the same. Wide driveways beside nicely landscaped front yards lead up to two- and three-car garages, and some properties have patios and in-ground backyard pools. Prices range from $660,000 to $880,000.
