Most houses here were built between the late 1970s and 1990s and sit on quarter-acre lots. “Homes in Evergreen and the surrounding neighborhoods are more affordable compared to the majority of Fort Collins communities,” Pavel says. “It makes it a popular area for first time homebuyers.” Price tags can range from $440,000 to $720,000, with prices increasing with square footage and lot size.

Ride the rapids at Poudre River Whitewater Park
Greenbriar Park lies just north of Evergreen and has baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a tennis court and a basketball court, along with a playground and picnic areas. The park also has a small lake, where visitors can fish for bass and panfish. Bird watchers can spot pelicans and black crowned night herons at the Goose Hollow Natural Area, a 4-acre protected habitat nearby. Engineering and design courses at Poudre High School
Tavelli Elementary School is around a mile north of Evergreen and earns an A-minus grade from Niche. The B-rated Lincoln Middle School has a variety of extracurricular offerings, with clubs revolved around Dungeons & Dragons, forensics and art. Odyssey of the Mind is an after-school program where middle schoolers earn creative problem-solving skills and participate in local competitions. Poudre High School receives a B-plus and has an engineering and design program, where students can take unique courses like aerospace engineering, 3D modeling and mechanical design to explore real-world challenges and earn industry-relevant skills.
