Lauderdale Harbours is about 2 miles from Downtown

Lauderdale Harbours, about 2 miles from Downtown Fort Lauderdale, is a neighborhood on the edge of the Stranahan River. Here, homes with Spanish influences and private docks sit among palm trees. “There isn’t a lot of turnover,” says Shannon O’Brien, a real estate agent with Bass Realty and Investments who has worked and lived in the area since 2017. “When people move here, they are here to stay.” According to O’Brien, many of those people are young families. Cliff Lake Park allows people to explore the diverse nature of Fort Lauderdale. With Harbordale Park also nearby, there is plenty for families to do. There are several shopping and dining options within 1 mile of the neighborhood, and students attend the highly rated Broward County Public Schools, which earns a B-plus from Niche.

Broward Health Medical Center is about 1 mile away from Lauderdale Harbours. A Level I Trauma Center and the Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital are among its many services. Hurricane season runs from June through October each year, so the city recommends making major renovations or landscaping changes outside of that period.
