Close to the beach and a mecca of dining
Within walking distance of some of Fort Lauderdale's biggest attractions, the Seven Isles community offers luxury waterfront living in the Venice of America. "Everyone can walk to the beach and down Las Olas Boulevard, where there's usually a lot going on," says Chenet "Chey" Nelson, a local Realtor with Fidelity Real Estate LLC and a resident of the area himself. "You see people outside all the time, biking and jogging. Everyone is friendly and knows each other. It's a family-oriented area, and the schools are great, too." The neighborhood sits right off the boulevard, so simply turning left or right when leaving the community will bring residents to oceanfront vistas or a mecca of dining and shopping destinations. Central and beautiful, Seven Isles welcomes the calm blue waters of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Restaurants and shops all along the bordering street
Residents of Seven Isles are sure to get well-acquainted with a nearby French café, Nanou. The beloved nook is an excellent option for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just coffee. Their signature, the Nanoccino, is a latte with vanilla, caramel, or chocolate syrup, topped with homemade whipped cream and praline. Caffeine lovers can enjoy the drink in the shop or walk a short distance to the beach to sip it at the seaside. For special occasions, locals head to Chima Steakhouse for select steak, lamb and seafood cuts. Rating 4.6 stars with over 3,500 reviews, one can be sure they're getting the best quality at the white tablecloth establishment. While a few small grocery stores and convenience stores line main streets near the neighborhood, Coral Ridge Shopping Center is 5 miles north with extensive shopping, anchored by Publix and Target.

Eclectic mansions with canal access
The single-family homes in Seven Isles are eclectic and stunning. "I'd say the architecture is quite mixed," Nelson says. "The older homes are getting torn down, and most of the houses coming are modern." Though the community's general aesthetic is shifting, everything from picturesque Mediterranean and Spanish Revivals to minimalist contemporary and modern estates can be found in this neighborhood, ranging, on average, from $2 million to $25 million. Seven Isles is known for its waterfront properties, with backyards that open to canals, and nearly every homeowner owns a boat. While the neighborhood is not gated, "There is only one point of access for getting to Sevel Isles, and it's guarded at all hours," says Melanie Groenendaal of The Elmes Group of Compass. Houses take a long time to sell, given their high price point and exclusive target audience, and it is not uncommon for houses to stay available on the market for over four months.
Modern architectural styles can be found in many of the new homes recently built in Seven Isles.

An extensive tropical paradise for exercise seekers
Considered the "Central Park" of the Fort Lauderdale area is Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. Biking and running trails run through the tropical landscape, and the park brims with unique animals and fauna, like the impressive banyan tree, native tortoises and birds. In addition to swimming, paddleboarding and picnicking, the park offers overnight campsites to enjoy at a small fee. Las Olas Oceanside Park has a small green space and splash pad surrounded by a walking path. The park regularly hosts events like yoga on the green, farmers' markets, craft fairs and holiday light shows. Bordered by the tourist-heavy beach, the park is bustling with locals and visitors alike hoping to soak up the sun.

No need to travel far from home
Seven Isles is ideal for those wanting to stay close to home. "We are close to everything in Fort Lauderdale, and the airport is 10 minutes away. It makes travel easy," notes Nelson. A few buses run along Las Olas Boulevard, making it possible for some to leave their cars at home to shop around. Like many oceanfront properties, houses in Fort Lauderdale have a high flood risk, and flood insurance is a requirement for some city neighborhoods, depending on streets and zoning.
The Broward Public Transit systems offers bus stops on Las Olas for Seven Isles residents.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students.
