Heritage, a sprawling master-planned community in northern Fort Worth, is an active suburb with year-round activities and convenience to shopping centers and major roadways. "People move here because it's a beautiful community," says Brenda Flategraff, general manager of the Heritage HOA Clubhouse. "We have a lot of community involvement and a lot of fun activities and clubs. We get the community together, and people like to meet their neighbors and get to know each other."
Heritage locals enjoy swimming, exercising and more at The Club at Heritage.

Brick, new traditional homes with unique details
Heritage has 3,280 single-family homes. "It's a mix of young families, middle-aged people, empty nesters and retired people," Flategraff says. "When the neighborhood was originally built, it was more younger families. Now, people are growing up and having kids of their own." Most houses in the community are brick, new traditional style homes with prominent, two-car garages and double-story entryways with columns. The area also has some townhouses. Variations in exterior brick colors and styles make each house unique, and prices usually range from $375,000 to $550,000. Mowed lawns and trimmed hedges bolster the community's visual appeal, and many houses have pools in their backyard.
Heritage features impressive contemporary homes with unique designs.

Keller ISD earns A's across the board
Students in Heritage usually attend the Keller ISD and may begin at Bette Perot Elementary School. Older students progress to Timberview Middle School and Timber Creek High School. All three schools earned A grades from Niche. "People are definitely moving into the community so they can go to the KISD," Flategraff says. Timber Creek High School offers over 40 clubs and 15 sports, with varsity and junior varsity teams for students to join.
Heritage students are proud to attend Timberview Middle School.

Heritage HOA hosts community events
Heritage's HOA hosts constant events throughout the year. Some of its largest events include the Heritage Freedom Fest with fireworks and music for the Fourth of July and Blizzard Bash in December with Santa, bouncy houses and vendors to kick off the winter season. "It adds some fun to the winter," Flategraff says. The list of events at Heritage goes on and on: "We have monthly bingo, trivia night, goat yoga, holiday crafts, food truck Fridays, you name it." Another popular Heritage event is the Christmas in July Pool Party. Families get festive by cooling off in the pool while Santa visits in his tropical gear and a DJ plays hits.

Outdoor amenities and North Park
Heritage has seven swimming pools, a splash park, tennis and pickleball courts, a clubhouse and a fitness center, all within the development, for residents to use. And if that's not enough to keep the family busy, North Park has a massive accessible playground built in 2019 featuring a shock-absorbing rubber ground surface, as well as renovated turf soccer fields and trails. Barksdale Park has more green space, including a pond and walking trails. To escape the heat, families head indoors to Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park to bounce around and tackle obstacle courses.

Shopping and dining at Alliance Town Center
Alliance Town Center is immediately west of Heritage's housing development and has a selection of shopping and dining. Commuting and getting around Heritage
"It's just a very convenient location. We're about 3 minutes off 35W, not even 2 minutes to the Alliance area, and they're opening an HEB," Flategraff says. "There's some traffic down the main throughways, but not through the neighborhood." Heritage is also about 12 miles north of downtown Fort Worth, 24 miles west of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and just north of Medical City Alliance hospital. "There are some people that commute downtown, but I know we have a lot of Lockheed Martin employees. It's about 15 or 20 minutes from here," Flategraff says. Sidewalks throughout the neighborhood facilitate walking between the neighborhood's amenities and Alliance Town Center, though residents may still choose to drive during Fort Worth's hot and humid summers.
Heritage residents enjoy driving along the tree lined streets.
