Shopping and recreation, convenient to other parts of New England
West Framingham is a neighborhood tucked between Interstate 90 and the Sudbury River reservoirs in Framingham, Massachusetts, a city about 25 miles from Boston. “What people like most is the convenience of getting to almost anywhere in the area,” says Nelson Zide, an agent with ERA Key Realty Services. “It’s 10 to 15 minutes to Interstate 95. It’s an hour and a half drive to Cape Cod, to southern New Hampshire or Rhode Island.” In addition to the convenience, the neighborhood offers varied housing options and is close to Framingham’s downtown, which includes several shopping areas and recreational facilities. While residents might enjoy popping out to other parts of New England, everything one might need is close at hand. “Whatever you’re looking for, we have it here,” Zide says.

Colonial-style homes and condos in a fast-moving market
Home styles in West Framingham include Colonial Revivals and ranch-style homes, with some Cape Cods sprinkled in, such as those on Oakcrest Drive. There is quite a bit of variety in size and price, with the latter ranging from about $430,000 for an old 1890s home all the way to $980,000. Tall but well-spaced trees create an open feeling but with plenty of shade. Many homes feature attached garages, useful during cold Massachusetts winters. In addition to single-family homes, the neighborhood also features condos along Worcester Road, which can range in price from $290,000 to $350,000. Regardless of design, homes move fast: The average time on the market is 15 days, so sales happen about three times as fast as the national average here.

Samba Steak and Sushi plates Asian fusion dishes, and Boteco do Manolo offers high-end Brazilian cuisine.
