Industrial-focused neighborhood in north Franklin Township

Franklin Center is an industrial neighborhood in Franklin Township that also offers suburbs and condo communities. The center of this area holds warehouses and offices for companies like Nissan, Ferrero and Amazon, which make up the majority of the neighborhood. Homes and condos sit on the outskirts of Franklin Center, along with some retail space, providing residents quick access to essentials. “I've been here my whole life; we’ve only moved a few miles in every direction because of how much we like it here,” says Mark Heflin, a sales associate with RE/MAX Preferred Professionals, and a Franklin Township local who’s been selling homes here for over 40 years.

This neighborhood balances industry and residential living, with businesses at its center and housing developments on its perimeter.

Early-1900s colonials, late-1900s ranch-style homes

The north end of Franklin Center features colonials and Cape Cods from the early- to mid-1900s with modestly sized front and backyards. In the south end, there are ranch-style homes and colonial revivals from the late-1900s with similar lot sizes. Homes here tend to stay on the market for about a month and typically sell for $400,000 to $800,000. “There’s not a ton of new construction going on, but there are newer condos and townhomes,” says Heflin. Two- to three-bedroom condos and townhouses, found in communities like Somerset Run, range from $400,000 to $600,000.
