Tennis courts and spectator sports

Drace Park offers a history lesson and a workout. Log cabins from the 1800s and educational signage are dotted along the three hiking paths looping through the 9-acre park. There’s also a playground, pavilion and public restrooms available. On the north side of town is Dr. H. Phillip Venable Memorial Park, which offers tennis courts, a playground and a picnic area, and on the south side is Des Peres Park, with playgrounds, picnic areas and walking paths along the small lake. Since St. Louis is nearby, Frontenac residents have access to plenty of city attractions. The St. Louis Zoo, City Museum and landmarks like the Gateway Arch make for fun day trips, while Art Hill offers a perfect date night with its Shakespeare in the Park performances. St. Louis was named the “Ultimate Sports City” by ESPN Magazine, so it’s no surprise that Frontenac residents show up to support their home teams. Sporty locals head to Busch Stadium and the Enterprise Center to cheer on the Cardinals and Blues throughout the year.
