Cameron Village has a lot to do in and outside the neighborhood
Cameron Village is a planned neighborhood with an HOA in Garden City, South Carolina. It has a mix of single-family homes, townhouses and condos, and all residents can enjoy the community clubhouse, neighborhood pool and other amenities, making this an area that’s great for both growing families and retirees. Next to South Carolina Highway 707, Cameron Village has easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment throughout the Grand Strand. “It’s in a great location,” says Realtor Heather Brooks with eXp Realty LLC – Myrtle Beach, who has sold homes up and down the Grand Strand. “It’s convenient, and there’s a lot to do. Within a few miles, you can be at the beach.”
Single-family homes, townhouses and condos
Cameron Village’s residential roads are flat, and front yard landscaping is tidy. Housing features a mix of single-family homes, townhouses and condos. Most homes were built between the mid-2000s and 2010s and feature modern layouts with open floor plans, updated kitchens and two-car garages. Ranch-style townhouses and condos can range in price from $230,000 to $290,000, while single-family homes can cost between $300,000 and $570,000, depending on the size, age and condition.
Neighborhood amenities and nearby beaches
Paved walking trails in Cameron Village lead to amenities provided through residents’ HOA fees, like a community clubhouse, neighborhood pool, playground and tennis and basketball courts. Small bodies of water throughout the neighborhood have benches beside them for locals to relax. It’s about 6 miles to The Pier at Garden City, where seasonal anglers fish and vacationers wander over the wooden boards. “The Garden City Pier is really popular,” Brooks says. “They have a restaurant and live music on it. It’s very family-oriented, and all ages go.” A sandy public beach stretches under the pier, and a waterfront arcade draws long-term residents and tourists alike. Brooks also mentions that residents have beach day options. “Garden City is between Surfside and Murrells Inlet, so there’s really something for everyone,” she says.
Convenient location for shopping and dining, on and off the shore
Shopping and dining options line South Carolina Highway 707. Within 10 miles, residents can find everyday essentials like a Food Lion grocery store, Target, The Home Depot and Tractor Supply Co. A few fast-casual and chain restaurants also line this roadway, and it’s about a 6-mile drive to the shoreside eateries near Garden City Beach. Brooks recommends Cosway Grill, where she says, “You can get the best bacon-wrapped scallops and white pizza anywhere around,” and Gulf Stream Café, a harbor-side eatery. “If you stay there long enough, you can watch the sunrise and sunset in the same location,” Brooks says.
