Twin Hickory is a thriving planned community located 18 miles northwest of Richmond, in Glen Allen, Virginia. There's plenty to enjoy in this vibrant area, which consists of over 1,400 homes and features gorgeous properties and an abundance of amenities in a sought-after school district.

“Twin Hickory is in a really strong location,” says Tom Stanley, Realtor with Joyner Fine Properties. “It’s convenient, it’s clean, and it’s a nice, comfortable place to live. No real negatives except the price, which will affect everyone differently.”

Take a stroll along the tidy sidewalks of Twin Hickory’s suburban-style streets, and you’ll find an array of transitional-stye homes. These houses are perched on lots with well-tended lawns that boast mature trees and simple landscaping. Here you can get a 4-bed, 3-bath transitional-style home for between $495,000 and $700,000. There are also many brick townhomes that offer comfortable living at a lower price point in this highly desirable part of town. Townhomes here have an average price of $400,000. “A property I sold there recently was a detached brick condominium,” says Stanley. “This particular community wasn’t age-restricted, which made it more appealing for this buyer. But this area really offers something for everyone.” According to Stanley, inventory is low, and houses sell quickly.
