Glendale Heights Sports Hub keeps residents active year-round
The village features several parks, open spaces and special recreational facilities. Hugging the village's east side just inside of Interstate 355 is the East Branch Forest Preserve, complete with wetlands habitat and picnic areas, and DuPage County Off-Leash Dog Park.
The Glendale Heights Sports Hub's indoor activities include classes, basketball, fitness and dance studios and a playground. The Glendale Heights Aquatic Center includes several pools, water slides, diving boards and a surf simulator.

The village hosts several special events throughout the year, including the Glendale Heights Fest, which brings residents to Camera Park to enjoy a carnival, entertainment, food and fireworks. Residents may be at higher risk for tornado damage, as when a tornado passed through the village in 2023.
