Gloucester Point offers residents a coastal oasis with many waterfront activities and quick access to Yorktown, just 2 miles across the York River. “The area has lots of eclectic art and stores since there’s an art school nearby,” says Tracy Foster, a Realtor with the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors, who has three decades of experience and has lived in the area her entire life. While the Bay School Community Arts Center is 27 miles away in Mathews, its impact is still felt. “The neighborhood is very rural but isn’t crowded or densely populated compared to other areas.”
